Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek by Tiffany Greenfield www.eleventhhourfiction.wordpress.com

Sitting in the cold breakfast nook, the only light and heat came off of the glow of her cigarette.  To think her day had begun so normal until she answered the phone to the caller whispering one single word, “Beta.”  Would she ever be able to make up for the greed of her youth?  At least Jimmy had called to warn her.  She refused to take a last look around the house, she had actually liked this one.  The smell of gasoline was making her sick.  They would find her signature Zippo lighter in the disaster of the ashes, but that was all they would find.
