Daymares

Daymares by Tiffany Greenfield www.eleventhhourfiction.wordpress.com

She had long given up on daydreaming.  Where others saw beauty in the light, she knew death was near.  By this time tomorrow everyone would know what she did now, that the freighter 100 miles south would approach the shallows on the darkest night of the month and run aground.  All but one of the crew would be found alive and he would be presumed dead.  Ultimately he would die, a month later, waiting to be rescued.
